Priviet!
We haven't posted much lately because, well...we haven't done a whole lot. The last couple of days were spent waiting for all the girls to get here, then everyone resting up. We've all had quite the week, so we're pretty tired. There are nine American teachers total, all girls. It's a great group and I think we're going to have lots of fun. The food has been surprisingly good! A few wierd things and so far only one thing that I couldn't quite stomach (it was so close to being yummy but had a funny texture). There have even been a few things we've eaten that Haley and I both have thought were especially delightful (one in particular that I won't try to spell because I can barely even say it). My favorite part about our room, besides the fact that we have fairly comfortable mattresses, is that all of our bedding has Disney princesses on it, right down to the pillowcase. It is fabulous. Today was kind of interesting because there was a wedding at the school. They have been partying--loudly--all evening, and probably will continue to. It's a two day event. There's a cute American girl living here in Boyarka. Her name is Michelle and she married a Ukrainian. It's been fun to talk to her, and she offered to let us do our laundry at her house--so nice! It's hard to believe we've only been gone one week; it even seems like Scotland was a long time ago. I think once school starts, things will move along pretty quickly. We don't have too many pictures yet, but there will be lots once school starts and there are cute (or obnoxious or spawn-of-Satan) children around. And once we get exploring a bit more. Like I said, some girls are trying to get over jetlag, others had a crazy week of traveling before coming here, and others have been teaching for five months in Russia AND had a crazy week of traveling before coming here. Pretty soon we'll get restless and need to get out and about. So, til then!
