True Scotsmen

We've made it safe and sound to Edinburgh, Scotland and...we love it. Oh boy do we love it! Even though we will only be spending a few days here, we've settled in quite nicely. I (Hannah) am thoroughly enjoying the similarities between Edinburgh and London, reminiscing a bit. It's fun to be here with Haley, because we can look like dorks together while we take pictures of apartment buildings. We've met up with Alyson, our cousin doing an internship with Parliament here. We had dinner at her flat last night, a wonderful change from airplane food...bleh. Not feeling too jet lagged yet, but I'm sure by tonight our creaky hostel beds will once again call our names. We already miss all of you (okay most of you) back home, but rest assured, we won't let that hinder our adventuring. Oh yes, for anyone wondering why our blog entitled "The Ukraine Experience" is so far a tale of a Scottish Experience, Edinburgh is a quick stopover on our way to Ukraine. We will fly to Kiev on Thursday, where we will be, teaching English, until the 19th of July. Then, we will fly to France for a week. Well, as we haven't seen much of Edinburgh just yet, this is about all we have to say now. Alyson and her boyfriend, Alan (who we think is great and approve of %100) are on their way to pick us up to go exploring. More later!

I (Haley) just wanted to put my two cents in before we go adventuring with alyson and her 100% approved of boyfriend. I love Scotland!! Family, we definately need a vacation here if ever at all possible, and don't worry, everyone speaks English! Amazing! Mom, you would really love it here in the summer... on the warm days. We have been really lucky to have beautiful sunny days while we have been here but apparently it gets freezing because of the rain and wind. But this is why you(Mom) would love it: It gets dark at about 11:00pm and gets light again at 4:00am. It's awesome! Unless you are trying to go to bed at 8:00pm. Bye Bye
